St. Anne Church was established in 1919 by Father William Cleary in response to the needs of a growing and multi-ethnic Catholic community in East Moline. Today, over 100 years later, we are still a faith-filled community that embraces diversity and has adapted to the changing environment while maintaining its core Catholic values and identity.
Catholics first gathered as a community under the spiritual leadership of Fr. John G. Alleman in the 1850’s. St. John’s was formally founded in 1878 as a mission. Our ancestors worked hard to lay the foundation of our parish persevering despite harsh and severe living conditions. Even after the first two churches of St. Mary’s were destroyed by fire, they remained firm in their faith.

Donut Sunday!
Please join us on Sunday, September 6, after the 8:30 am Mass at St. John in the hall for coffee, donuts, and fellowship.
Religious Education (CCD) and OCIA Registration is open!
OCIA classes will start September 13 at St. Anne campus. Class begins by attending 10:30 Mass at St. Anne and class ends at 12:45. Cost for OCIA is $75.00 which includes materials taught in class.
Religious Education (CCD) classes will start September 9 at St. John from 6:00-7:15 pm and September 13 at St. Anne from 8:30-10:15 am. Cost for Religious Education class, $50.00 per child, $125.00 family cap, $20.00 additional for those preparing for Confirmation.

The Peoria Diocese 150th Anniversary Books will be sold one more time after all Masses the weekend of August 29th & 30th.
If you have not had an opportunity to purchase one yet, this is your final chance to purchase one after Mass. We will be selling them for $20.00.
Future purchases will need to be made in the Parish Office.
